Boost mental and physical performance

But make it chocolate

Cacao With Benefits

Ceremonial Cacao working in synergy With Medicinal Herbs

Increase energy and vitality

Cacao contains theobromine which offers a smooth and sustained release of energy. This works synergistically with the adaptogens which support the body's natural energy production and help maintain vitality.

Reduce stress and anxiety

Adaptogens reduce stress and anxiety by regulating cortisol levels, balancing neurotransmitters, exerting anti-inflammatory effects, supporting energy production, and modulating the HPA axis, which collectively helps the body adapt to and cope with stress more effectively.

Improve mental focus & clarity

Cacao is rich in flavanols, which enhance blood flow to the brain, supporting better cognitive performance, including memory and attention. The adaptogens in our blends help improve mental clarity, focus, and concentration, providing a natural way to support cognitive function and combat mental fatigue.

Enhance mood

Cacao elevates mood by increasing serotonin, triggering endorphin release, and promoting improved brain blood flow. It also contains PEA, which is often referred to as the "love molecule" and is associated with mood boosting effects.

Support Immunity

Adaptogens have immunomodulatory properties, helping to regulate and balance the immune system's response. They can enhance immune function when it's underactive and prevent excessive activation in conditions of overactivity.

Amplified my creativity and embodiment

I had experienced ceremonial cacao before at events but had never had a 'home ritual' of making it for myself. Tsokolate was perfect for this. I found it easy to make and deliciously sweet (without sugar). I usually have 2 Tableyas and found it helped me with my creative work and general embodiment. My partner liked it too. One time, I had it in the evening as an extra boost to get to a kirtan and yoga class, and wow, arriving with cacao in my body for that was blissful and heart-openingly profound. Can recommend!

A Delicious and Convenient Experience

I recently had the pleasure of trying Tsokolate Lola, and I have to say, it's a game-changer in the world of hot chocolate! What stood out to me the most was how easy it is to prepare and dose, all thanks to the tableya.

The tableya format makes it incredibly simple to measure the perfect amount for each cup of Tsokolate Lola. No more guessing, chopping or shaving blocks of cacao or fiddling with messy powders. Just choose the number of tableya according to your desired dose, add it to your milk or water, and enjoy a rich and satisfying cup of hot chocolate in minutes.

Not only is Tsokolate Lola convenient to prepare, but it also delivers a velvety smooth texture and authentic chocolate flavour that's hard to beat. Whether you're craving a comforting drink on a chilly evening or want to elevate your morning routine, Tsokolate Lola is the perfect choice.

Overall, I highly recommend Tsokolate Lola for its ease of preparation and awesome taste.

Beautiful heart medicine

Can really feel the care that has been put into creating Tsokolate. Everything from the stunning packaging to the cacao itself is so thoughtfully put together. I love how easy it is to make up the right dose as well. I chose the Pure blend so that I can add my own spices or herbs and because I like my cacao like espresso, strong and not sweet. The best ceremonial cacao I've had by far!

So damn good!

My new go to when I want something sweet. It tastes similar to Milo but you can tell it's made from high quality ceremonial cacao. Love the energy boost as well. I make it cold, poured over some ice and its a great pre workout too. Just need to make sure I can drink it before my girlfriend has it all!

Love Lover!

Really delicious cacao that helps me especially when it's that time of the month. I find the combination of cacao and medicinal herbs helps relieve cramping and improves my mood. I also really love the rose flavour that comes through, it reminds me of Turkish delight. Tsokolate Lover is the best ceremonial cacao I've tried.

Love the easy dosing!

Love how easy it is to prepare the right dose of ceremonial cacao with Tsokolate. I put 3 tableya into my insulated cup and when I get to work, I add a little bit of boiling water and stir until it's dissolved. I then top it up with more boiling water and sweeten with some honey. Helps get me through the day!

The best cacao ever!!!

This is the best cacao I have ever had. I used to struggle to take herbs because they don't taste great and I always would forget. It's so much easier not to mention way tastier to take my herbs with my daily cup of cacao. I chose the Lola blend because it has both Tulsi and Amla which are two powerful herbs that I wanted to incorporate into my diet. I love that this cacao comes in convenient 11 gram tablets which makes it really simple to dose. I blend up 3 tableya with a cup of hot water and a dash of maple syrup in my ninja and it comes out so creamy and velvety. Can't wait to try the other blends!

My favourite cacao

I am loving Lover! I ordered it because I usually add some rose essential oil to my daily cacao anyway. The fact that this already has rose in it along with some adaptogens and herbs makes it so convenient for me to make. It's become a part of my morning ritual and I love how incredibly rich band creamy it is, even when I make it using just water. I have a daily dose which is two tableya most of the time but if I'm journalling, meditating or am about to do something creative I'll take a ceremonial dose which is 4 tableya. Tsokolate is my favorite cacao by far!

Love this cacao!

This cacao is the best I've tried, and I have tried a lot!! I was looking for something that I could have later in the day without it keeping me up all night. Regulate helps me to unwind and relax and it's honestly something I look forward to at the end of most days. I love that it comes in tablet form so I can easily prepare the right dose. I will definitely order it again.

Best gift for a cacao lover

I got this gift box for my girlfriend who loves cacao and drinks it every day. The box itself is beautiful and she was so excited opening it and seeing all the varieties of cacao inside. Keen to try the different flavours for their different functions. It was dispatched really quickly too.

Best Hot Chocolate

I now drink this everyday and it has replaced my daily coffee. Really easy to make, I just dissolve a couple of spoonfuls in a little bit of boiling hot water then top with frothed up milk. It's a really effective energy boost without the crash, jitters or anxiety.

Healthy Milo alternative

In love with Nostalgia. It has the familiar choc-malt flavour similar to Milo only richer and more "adult" tasting. It comes in powder form but you can tell that it's made using ground up ceremonial cacao. I'm loving it as a frappe which I make by blending it up with some soy milk, ice and coconut sugar in a blender. 10 out of 10!

Creamiest cacao I've tried

Absolutely love Tsokolate! I usually have a cup of cacao to drink every morning but it's in powder form. Ceremonial cacao is much creamier and rich. I melt 3 tableya in a cup of oat milk over the stove and add a bit of coconut sugar, it's the best way to start the day along with my meditation practice.

Cacao that calms!

I bought Regulate to help me relax. It's the first time I've tried cacao with herbs and it's amazing what a difference it makes. I can really feel it's calming effect. The lavender flavour is nice and subtle and surprisingly goes really well with chocolate. Love that it comes in tablet form so I don't need to chop it up to get the right dose. Will definitely be trying the other flavours!

My favourite morning ritual

I've tried a lot of different brands of cacao but I find this one the easiest to make and the best flavour. It's already sweetened which saves me time by not having to add in other ingredients. I love that it already includes a blend of adaptogenic herbs to support the nervous system - I feel much calmer and in my body by including it to my morning ritual. Plus the packaging is just beautiful and it's easy to see how much love and intention goes into every area of creating the product! I'll definitely be buying it regularly 🙂

Got Questions?

This is entirely up to you and your individual constitution. Some people are more sensitive to cacao than others.

We suggest that you start with once per day and if you’ve never had ceremonial cacao before, start with a micro dose. From there, work your way up gradually to your desired dose, checking in with how you feel with each increase and settling on the dose that suits you best.

Once you’ve done that, you can slowly introduce another serving to your day if you feel called to it, however we suggest keeping it to a smaller dose and a least 4 hours from your last serve. We also advise that you gradually work your way up to anything beyond 44 grams of cacao over a few days and that you do not exceed more than 85 g in total per day. Allow the innate wisdom of your body to guide you.

We advise that if you haven’t had ceremonial cacao before, or if you have a sensitive constitution, it’s best to start with a micro dose.

If you wish to enjoy ceremonial cacao as a daily practice at home, anything up to a creative dose is suitable. If you are partaking in ceremonial dosing, no more than 2-3 times per week is best.

We also advise that you gradually work your way up to anything beyond 44 grams of cacao over a few days and that you do not exceed more than 85 g in total per day. Only those with an established practice and who respond well to cacao should partake in ceremonial dosing.

Micro Dose – 1 Tableya (Approximately 11 grams):

Consuming cacao in moderation is generally safe and even offers many potential health benefits due to its antioxidant content. However, excessive consumption of cacao or cocoa products can lead to various potential effects, including:

• Caffeine and Theobromine Intake: Cacao contains caffeine and theobromine, which are stimulants. Excessive consumption can result in symptoms such as increased heart rate, restlessness, anxiety, jitteriness, and difficulty sleeping. The severity of these effects can vary depending on an individual’s sensitivity to these compounds.
• Digestive Discomfort: Cacao is naturally high in fibre, and consuming it in excess can lead to digestive discomfort, including bloating, gas, and diarrhoea.
• Potential Allergic Reactions: While rare, some individuals may be allergic to cacao. Over consumption increases the risk of allergic reactions.

Tsokolate does not contain any added sugar, or sugar alcohols. It is lightly sweetened naturally with a certified organic, pure monk fruit juice powder. Monk fruit’s delightful sweetness is a gift from nature, thanks to its natural antioxidants called ‘mogrosides.’ Hailing from the mystical mountains of China, where monks treasured it for centuries, Monk Fruit, also known as Luo Han Guo, was not just a fruit but a revered traditional Chinese medicine. These days it’s valued as an ingredient in many products because it provides sweetness without the calories and potential blood sugar spikes associated with sugar. If you prefer you cacao to be sweeter, add your sweetener of choice to taste. We love pure monk fruit juice, coconut sugar or maple syrup.

Yes, in very small amounts. The caffeine content of cacao ranges from 0.1% to 0.5%, depending on which type of beans are being used. Unprocessed raw cacao has much less caffeine than processed cacao powder and significantly less caffeine than coffee making it an ideal coffee alternative.

30 g of pure raw cacao contains about 40 mg of caffeine. To provide some context, 1 shot of espresso contains between 75 and 100 mg of caffeine whereas a cup of black tea contains between 49 and 90 mg of caffeine.

Theobromine is the stimulant that is predominantly found in raw cacao. It is in the same alkaloid family as caffeine but is non-addictive, more gentle on the adrenal glands and nervous system and is more alkalizing. It works on the cardiovascular system, increasing your blood flow throughout the body and brain, providing a longer, more sustained focus and energy. Caffeine on the other hand, works on the nervous system and this can result in a more jittery and sudden energy hit.

Certain antidepressant medications, like monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), might interact with elements in cacao. MAOIs can impact the breakdown of amines, and if combined with foods high in tyramine (more in aged or fermented foods), it could cause a hypertensive crisis. While cacao has less tyramine than some other foods, it’s a good idea for people on MAOIs to talk to their healthcare provider about what they eat.

As always, we encourage you to make choices that align with your unique needs and circumstances, as we all have individual considerations and constitutions. To ensure your well-being, we strongly advise you to consult with your trusted healthcare professional if you’re considering the use of cacao during pregnancy.

That said, for healthy individuals with no underlying conditions, cacao is generally considered safe during pregnancy. Recent research has indicated that while cacao is entirely safe in small quantities, it may potentially exacerbate pre-existing conditions, such as preeclampsia, in the third trimester. Therefore, we recommend a daily upper limit of 30 grams during the first two trimesters and 15 grams per day during the third trimester.

It’s worth noting that some indigenous cultures have regarded cacao as a beneficial addition to the diet during pregnancy. This remarkable plant medicine and food have been traditionally offered to expectant mothers, providing them with stamina and helping reduce depletion during labor, reflecting its long-standing role as a cherished source of support for women during this transformational journey.

As always, we encourage you to make choices that align with your individual preferences and needs, as we all have unique considerations and constitutions. To ensure your well-being, we strongly recommend consulting with your trusted healthcare professional if you’re interested in incorporating cacao into your diet while breastfeeding.

That said, for both mothers and babies who are healthy with no underlying conditions, we generally consider cacao to be safe during breastfeeding. Cacao can serve as a valuable supplement to support the well-being of both the mother and her baby, offering an energy boost for those who wish to avoid caffeine. We recommend a total weekly intake of up to 90 grams, with a single dose not exceeding 30 grams.
