Tsokolate Ceremonial Grade Drinking Chocolate

Tsokolate, pronounced cho-ko-lat-eh, is a traditional Filipino hot chocolate drink made by mixing tableya & water. Tableya are chocolate tablets formed from stone ground, whole cacao beans. The result is a rich, full bodied ceremonial grade drinking chocolate that’s like no other.

A simple step-by-step guide

Preparing Tsokolate is quick and simple. Traditionally, it’s enjoyed hot using water as the liquid but it can also be served over ice and instead of water, you can use your favourite plant-based mylk.

What is ceremonial cacao?

Long before chocolate became the delicious commodity we know it to be today, cacao was more than just a sweet treat, it was and still is sacred. But what exactly makes cacao ‘ceremonial grade’?
