Something has been asking to be put down.

Not dramatically. Just honestly. The weight of what was never yours to carry in the first place.

This eclipse is the permission to set it down.

🌕 The Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces

The Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces peaks this Friday 28 August at 2:14 pm AEST, marking the close of the entire Pisces eclipse chapter that began in September 2024. This is a completion, a final exhale of a two-year journey through the waters of the last zodiac sign.

Pisces is the sign of boundless compassion, of the dissolved self, of feeling everything and everyone all at once. Its gifts are enormous: deep intuition, empathy, creativity, the sense of oneness that reconnects us to what is most beautiful about being human.

But its shadow is equally real. The tendency to absorb what belongs to others. To confuse compassion with self-sacrifice. To lose our own frequency in the noise of the collective. To carry emotions that are not ours and wonder why we feel so heavy.

This eclipse, in the sign most associated with emotional porousness, is asking us to choose conscious openness rather than unconscious absorption. To return to our own frequency. To become, as the Virgo Sun opposite this Moon insists, a clearer vessel.

The Sun and Mercury in Virgo square Uranus in Gemini, bringing sudden insights and unexpected liberations. Chiron sextiles the Moon, offering gentle but honest healing. The North Node sits close, pulling us forward into who we are becoming. Jupiter in Leo trines Saturn, expanding what has been slowly stabilised.

This is not a Full Moon to force anything. It is a Full Moon to soften, release and return.

Universal Thread

The wisdom of maintaining your own energetic field while remaining open to others runs through almost every wisdom tradition on earth.

In the Buddhist concept of Upeksha, equanimity, the practitioner learns to remain fully open and compassionate toward all beings while maintaining their own inner stability. This is not detachment. It is the capacity to be genuinely present without being swept away. True compassion, Buddhist teaching consistently reminds us, requires a stable centre from which to offer it.

The Sufi poet Rumi speaks of the reed flute that can only make music because it remains hollow. The instrument must maintain its own form in order to be a channel for something beautiful. A reed that dissolves into the water cannot sing.

In many Indigenous traditions across the globe, practices of energetic cleansing, through fire, water, smoke and ritual, exist precisely because the body is understood as a field that needs regular clearing. Not because the world is dirty but because we are permeable, and what we absorb needs to be intentionally released so that what is ours remains clear.

The Hawaiian practice of Ho'oponopono, the Hawaiian healing practice of responsibility and release, carries the recognition that we hold what we have witnessed and absorbed. The practice itself is a clearing, a return to one's own clean frequency. Different name. The same knowing.

Across the world and across time, this recognition is consistent: to be of genuine service to others, we must first be in genuine relationship with ourselves. An empty vessel cannot pour from abundance. A field with no boundaries cannot sustain growth.

This is the Pisces eclipse, distilled into its most practical and loving wisdom: clear the field. Return to yourself. Tend what is yours.

🔮 Energies to Work With

Release: letting go of what has accumulated that is not truly yours, emotions, beliefs, energies absorbed from others

Conscious openness: choosing when and how you open, rather than remaining perpetually porous

Completion: honouring the close of the Pisces eclipse chapter that began in September 2024

The clear vessel: the Virgo Sun's invitation to tend the body, the boundaries and the daily rhythms that keep you
resourced

Intuitive trust: the North Node and Chiron supporting a return to your own inner knowing as compass

Sudden clarity: Uranus squaring the lunation may bring unexpected insights, liberations or perspective shifts

You are not designed to carry what is not yours. Clearing your field is an act of love, for yourself and for everyone you are here to serve.

Ritual Practice: Clear and Return

Simple. Sensory. Gentle. This ritual can be done in five minutes or fifty.

1. The Body Check-in

Before anything else, take three slow breaths. Ask yourself: what am I carrying right now that doesn't feel like mine? Notice where you feel it in the body. You do not need to analyse it. Just notice.

2. Prepare Your Cacao

Prepare your Tsokolate Regulate slowly. As you stir, hold the intention of this eclipse: to soften, clear and return. Let the ritual of preparation be the beginning of the release.

3. The Release Practice (choose one)

If you have a few minutes: write a short list of everything you have been carrying lately, worries for others, emotions that feel heavy but not quite yours, thoughts that loop but don't resolve. Then write beside each one: mine or not mine? For what is not yours, simply write "I release this."

If you have one minute: stand barefoot if you can, inside or out. Take five deep breaths, imagining with each exhale that what is not yours is returning to the earth, to the collective, back to where it belongs. You do not need to hold it.

If you just want to receive: sip your cacao in silence for five minutes. Put your phone down. Let whatever arises come and go without engaging it. Simply be.

4. The Return

Ask yourself one honest question: when I set down what isn't mine, what do I actually feel? What rises when the noise clears?

Write one sentence. Begin with: "What is mine is..."

5. Seal with Edible Alchemy

Tsokolate Regulate infused with lavender, skullcap and passionflower. For the Piscean nervous system that has been absorbing too much. Regulate creates the inner stillness from which genuine release becomes possible. Sip slowly. This is the first act of clearing.

Grounding Chocolate spiced macadamia praline in 65% dark chocolate, infused with ginger and dandelion. Root Chakra support. The Virgo Sun asks us to come home to the body. Grounding anchors the clearing into physical reality and keeps you present in your own skin rather than dissolved in the field of others.

Vision Chocolate pistachio and sesame praline in 65% dark chocolate, infused with brahmi and eyebright. Third Eye support. With the North Node conjunct the Moon and Chiron offering healing, this eclipse rewards intuitive trust. Vision supports the inner sight that returns when you have cleared enough space to hear it.

Edible Alchemy for the full moon & lunar eclipse

✦ Regulate meets Pisces where it lives: in the nervous system. When we absorb what is not ours, the nervous system carries it. Lavender, skullcap and passionflower work together to gently release that accumulated tension and create the conditions for genuine softening.

✦ Grounding Chocolate holds the Virgo Sun's medicine: embodiment, practicality, the sacred ordinary. Ginger supports circulation and vitality, keeping the body warm and present as we do the quiet work of clearing. Dandelion supports natural detoxification, the body releasing what no longer belongs.

✦ Vision Chocolate honours the deepest gift of this eclipse: the return of your own inner compass. When the field clears, the quiet knowing that was always there becomes audible again. Brahmi sharpens that channel. Eyebright opens the inner sight.

Closing Reflection

You do not need to become more compassionate. You are already deeply feeling, deeply open, deeply connected.

What this eclipse is asking is simpler and more radical than that. It is asking you to discern. To choose, consciously, what you take in and what you let pass through. To maintain the frequency of your own inner world while remaining genuinely, beautifully open to the world around you.

Clear the field. Return to yourself. From that place, you can offer something real.

Your Ritual Awaits.
